Rainy Day

No morning walk with my son today. The rain kept inside but we did step out in to the patio to get some fresh air and watch the rain.

A disc golf tournament at Bryan Park ruined my chances to throw a round with an old friend. His wife, my wife and baby were also with us so we took the opportunity to hit the play ground and walk around the park.

This dandelion has not fully embraced spring yet.

Back in the saddle again

The good thing about working for a company that has the Red Cross come to the office to draw blood is I get to donate pretty often. The bad thing is some times work gets in the way. Last visit I couldn't get away long enough to donate. I made it this time and I was able to help them get 19 pints.

Spring time in the city

We got out and enjoyed the nice weather today. Went down to Artworks and I snapped a couple of shots while I walked the dog around.

Work In Progress

I like this image but haven't been completely happy with it. So I have been doing a little work on it and then going back and doing a little more. The original image was hand held and I didn't get much blur on the train going by. Right now that is what I think I need to make the image more interesting.

This is a re-work of an image I thought I was happy with but I like this version better.

Tree and Ferns

I have had this image for a while but never had the eye to process it. I have opened it a couple times in Photoshop and messed with it and then closed it again...
Save Changes? NO!
Today I got an image I liked. The background had a little bit of a blue cast to it out of the camera and I like the cool misty look it had. So I dropped the saturation on the reds, yellow and megentas and kept the blue, cyan and green as they were. I also used a cooling photo filter and some levels and curves adjustment layers for contrast.
