This horse farm was here when I was working on the bridge I wrote about in a previous posting. It was nice to come to work every day and see them running around. One day a young male was running around the field and appeared to be showing off to the other horses until he slipped and fell. Then he walked away head lowered in shame. Even the horse can be the horse's ass sometimes.

Looking for the right shot
Yes!
The problem comes more to my ego when I take the same "post card" shot and it isn't as good as others I see.
However I usually try to take other shots that won't be typical. I all ways have the post card to fall back on

Be Prepared
Every town should have a Zombie Defense center.I saw this sign a couple days ago but couldn't stop to get a picture. It is a little unnerving to drive by and see this sign. I was wondering if they knew something I didn't. Oddly or ironically this is right next to a Hispanic church that used to be a local

A meadow is a meadow
Unless the black locust trees starts to sprout up and then it is a prickly place to walk.Laura and I went back up to Shenandoah to do some more volunteer work. This time we were at Big Meadow cutting down black locust trees that had grown up in the meadow. After riding the meadow of this prickly tree Laura and I rewarded ourselves with a short hike to Dark Hollow Falls, more to come in that.

Would you like some tea with that beer?
Laura and I went to Mekong for dinner tonight. Not only is Mekong a great Vietnamese restaurant but they also have a great beer selection. Laura ordered a drink with tea vodka in it and after she had finished that the bar tender asked if she would like a beer with hibiscus (I think it was Rosée D'hibiscus) and she really liked it.

What will you find at the corner of Challenger and Voyager?
Beer, that's what!
This is the location of St George brewery. I stop by once a week and fill up my growlers with their fine beers and chat with people that know way too much about beer.

Ripping Out The Lady's Thumb
Laura and I attacked invasive plants in Shenandoah National Park. Oriental Lady's Thumbs was one of the three plants we were there to pull up. It was also the easiest to identify so I concentrated on that for the most part. We were also pulling Oriental Stilt Grass and a Japanese Bitter Sweet.
Every Little Bit Helps
We spent today picking up trash along a road by our home. Laura and her mother have been doing this for years and I have joined them since Laura and I have been together. I don't know if it a grand patriotic thing to do but I think it wad a good way to spend today.

Rockers and Beer
This is what when you mix a rock n roll band and a brewery. Member(s) of Clutch go together with Fat Tire and spawned this beer.
