First Day Done

First day of the fall semester, done. I am alway excited about school at the beginning of the semester but it doesn't usually last. I can see the light at the end of this tunnel and I am ready for it to be over.

Music, kids and beer

... it's a perfect mix... right?
Stopped by Hardywood Brewery for there Richmond Bluegrass Festival to see my friend's Band The Whiskey Rebellion. Lots of kids running around behind the stage with toys and bubbles. We enjoyed our short time out and headed home for toddler bedtime.

Science After Dark

The Science Museum of Virginia has the Richmond Astrological Society come out once a month and set up their telescopes or "skelescopes" as clive called them.
Clive loved it and said he wants his own skelescope.
It was a good night out.

Nice day outside

Clive lives to go out to this spot and "pick moss".
Then we found this web in the grass. Clive was thoroughly impressed.
These large green leaves have such great texture.

Polka dots

Around my office there are some very 80s looking black metal benches. I notice the shadow under the bench today while I was walking down the hall. There are giant sky lights over head that let in a lot of light.

Through the looking glass

I took these through a magnifying glass from my son's bug kit.
