They are getting there

Park Lane Pub finally figured out Happy Hour. Not that Hal and I are cheap but on our Tuesday meet up for a pint and chat we like be mindful of the coast. Park Lane Pub has been slow to adopt a happy hour special but seem to be figuring it out. They started with 1/2 price fish and chips and have now added $5 apps and ALL pints for $4. $4 for happy hour can be a little pricey considering the last place we went had $1.5 beers for happy hour but they didn't have the selection Park Lane Pub. I was able to get a couple Dog Fish 90 minute IPAs rather than a Yuengling.

New York Deli

Between shopping for and making a cake for my sister-in-law Laura and I found a littel time to eat dinner at the New York Deli in Carytown.
Okay Laura baked the cake.

Forgotten Tree, Forgotten Image

This is a shot from way back in 2008, see blog post, I never processed this shot back then. Guess I didn't like it at the time. I like the composition alright now but I am not sure about the tonal range but I am going with it for right now.

Looking Back

I took this photo in December of 2008. I was never really happy with the shot so I never really worked with it to try to see what I could make of it. I still don't know if I have achieved the image I was going for but it has been so long ago I can't really remember what I was going for when I took it.

Lines and Clouds

While updating my blog I decided to try to process this shot. I took this shot while we were leaving Blenheim Vineyards. Laura was almost to the car but I remember looking at this scene last time I was here but I didn't take the shot. So here it is over a year later and I got the shot. If we were not on our way out I probably would have taken a couple more shots to work on the exposure but at least  I pressed the button this time.

Good Friends and Good Salsa

Went down to the beach and had dinner with Hal and Janet today. They made a great meal and we had great conversation... Did I mention the salsa? It was delicious.

Westover Plantation

Laura and I had some maternity photos taken by Garrett Ross today at Westover Plantation in Charles City. It was a beautiful night, after the rain had passed, and we are looking forward to seeing the photos.
