Just Caught My Eye

While fixing dinner the light shining through the bowl caught my eye.

My mad hatters. The VMFA had a Spring Time in Paris family event today and it was a blast for everyone. Even though it need up raining the VMFA made it all work. Their was hat making, chalk still lives, performers on stilts, snails and much more.

The weather man said rain so we made plans to be indoors. We took Clive to the the Science Museum. We had some tickets to the IMAX that were going to expire so we crossed our fingers and hoped he could make at least 10 minutes... He made it the entire 40 minutes!

Not going to miss it again

There used to be a guy in downtown Hampton called the bird man. He would stand out on the street, kind of like this guy, but he would be covered in pigeons. Everytime I saw him I would say I need to stop and take a picture of him. This is back in the early to mid 90s so I didn't have the option of taking the shot with a cell phone. I did have my camera on me a few times but I never stopped and got the shot. Then one day I heard he had died. I don't know anything else about the guy other than he would stand out on Armistead and be one with the birds.
I have seen the guy pictured above a couple times and decided I wasn't going to miss this guy.

I haven't been able to keep up with my one picture a day goal lately but I am going to try to get back on schedule now.
Today was Easter and a beautiful day. After the morning egg hunt my son and I walked around and picked dandelions, threw rocks in the creek and just enjoyed the weather and each other.
